The homeowners bought this house across the street to become a guest cottage for their ever expanding family of kids and grandkids. Working with the architect and builder, we determined that while the existing building might have the right foot print, the roof lines and ceiling heights were not going to work, so down it came. Once we had the right three-dimensional space to work with, creating the simple, understated interior spaces was a breeze. Wanting everything to have a neutral palette that would show off their antiques and artwork, the customers selected shaker style cabinets in an off white lace color for all of the rooms. Granite countertops, in neutral off-whites and grays, along with glass tiles in the showers and backsplash lend themselves to a wonderful soft, tone on tone palette that lets the unique antiques and accessories shine.
